Championship Semifinals
The first game in the semifinals is between the top seeded Team Pup-N-Suds and the fifth seeded STL House Centipedes. Team Pup-N-Suds won their first matchup clear back in Week 7, despite an A+ performance from STL House Centipedes. The matchup ended up being a 32.5 point victory for Team Pup-N-Suds. It was the only loss in an impressive seven game streak for STL House Centipedes that saw them battle their way to the playoffs. It was a battle of the quarterbacks last time, with Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow combining for 103.16 points for Team Pup-N-Suds, while Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence put up 50.06 combined points for STL House Centipedes. Will the result be the same this week? Can Team Pup-N-Suds continue their reign at the top? Or will the newcomer STL House Centipedes knock off the preseason favorite?
The second game in the semifinals is a rematch from Week 4. In that first matchup, Fueled By Ayahuasca ended the three game winning streak for Dinkel 3.16. This came despite a less than stellar performance from Fueled By Ayahuasca, while Dinkel 3.16 came out of the matchup with an A rating. Fueled By Ayahuasca won the day with a 10.16 point victory. In that matchup, Mike Evans and Justin Herbert led the day for the victor, combing for 66.4 points. Dinkel 3.16 grabbed 58.42 points from Tyreek Hill and Josh Allen that week. From there, both teams have battled throughout the season to make the postseason, including a late Week 14 matchup that saw Fueled By Ayahuasca jump Dinkel 3.16 in the standings to grab the first round bye. Did Fueled By Ayahuasca use up all their late season magic? Or can the reigning league champ get a win over a Dinkel 3.16 that comes in to the semifinals off the biggest victory last week?
Both of these teams battled it out in the quarterfinals but it wasn't meant to be. The Dictatorship and SMILF now face off in a rematch from Week 8. That week, SMILF was the victor, coming off a strong 30.84 point win. The Dictatorship had a poor showing that week but bounced back on the path to the postseason. SMILF had an equally strong showing, including an unlikely Week 14 victory that sent them to the playoffs. It's sad to see both of these teams come up short, but they can take pride in making it to the postseason. It's bragging rights for fifth place between The Dictatorship and SMILF. Who can get that final victory?
Consolation Semifinals
These two teams faced off in Week 13, with All 2 Whales coming away with the 55.6 point victory. It was a disappointing loss for Houston Dinkel, who had a strong showing throughout the season. Both of these teams had strong offensive outings through the year, but both came up short. Which team will move on to battle for seventh place? Can Houston Dinkel get back their win? Or will All 2 Whales prove to have their number?
These two teams have a knack for finding themselves on opposite sides of the field in the consolation bracket. This is the second year in a row where Car Ramrod battles Ginger Lightning for a chance to play for seventh place. It's a rematch from Week 13 that saw Car Ramrod win by 62.38 points, one of the biggest wins of their season. Now it's time for Ginger Lightning to get some measure of revenge. Can Car Ramrod hold them at bay? Or will Ginger Lightning strike this time?
It's the battle for eleventh place in this Week 2 rematch. In the initial bout, Fowler's Heathens won the day with a 23.5 point victory over Leknid Lunatics. It set the tone for both teams moving forward, with Fowler's Heathens moving towards the top and battling for a playoff spot, while Leknid Lunatics spent the majority of the season near the bottom of the league. It's familiar territory for Leknid Lunatics, and a disappointing end for Fowler's Heathens. Which team can come out on top this week?
