Week 1 saw some big matchups and some great games. In a surprise to many, five of last season's playoff teams took a Week 1 loss. Week 2 means that some teams are hoping to continue winning while others are still hunting for their first win. Who comes out ahead?
Dinkel 3.16 (1-0) vs Captain Morgan (0-1)
It's a Week 2 matchup between two playoff teams from last season. Last season, Dinkel 3.16 was dispatched from the playoffs in the quarterfinals by Captain Morgan. This season, roles are reversed as Dinkel 3.16 is the one sitting with a win and Captain Morgan starting off the season with a goose egg in the win column. Dinkel 3.16 will hope that #1 overall draft pick Josh Allen will continue to drive their team to victory. Captain Morgan will need Ceedee Lamb and Cam Akers to show up this week to try and get their first victory of the season. Who will come out ahead in this Week 2 showdown?
Autodraft Bitches (0-1) vs Houston Dinkel (0-1)
This Week 2 matchup has two winless teams facing off with at least one guaranteed to grab their first victory. Autodraft Bitches had a decent Week 1 showing from Lamar Jackson and Jameis Winston, but it wasn't enough to make from a nothing burger from Cole Kmet and a poor showing from Hunter Renfrow. Those two players will need to step up for Autodraft Bitches in Week 2. Across the field, Houston Dinkel will be without Dak Prescott this week and will need to find some help outside Cooper Kupp and Nick Chubb. Houston Dinkel will face a big test without their starting quarterback, but it's still anyone's game as we head in to Week 2.
SMILF (0-1) vs All 2 Whales (1-0)
SMILF didn't have many losses last season, so seeing the 0-1 start was a surprise to many. But SMILF looks to do what they normally do - win - as they head into this Week 2 matchup against All 2 Whales. SMILF has a roster built to compete and will look to better outings from Brandon Aiyuk and Jared Goff in Week 2. Meanwhile, All 2 Whales announced their return to the league with the highest score and biggest margin of victory in Week 1. Relying on a dynamite duo of Stefon Diggs and A.J. Brown, All 2 Whales will look to make it 2-0 and start a run.
Ginger Lightning (1-0) vs STL House Centipedes (1-0)
It's our first matchup of 1-0 teams as former league champion Ginger Lightning takes on the newcomer, STL House Centipedes. Ginger Lightning had every player on his starting lineup hit double digits in Week 1, and will hope to do it again to move on to 2-0. STL House Centipedes got a strong showing from Travis Kelce and Justin Fields in Week 1 and will hope to continue the trend in Week 2. There's been a recent theme of new league members starting off strong in the season. Will the trend continue, or will the veteran halt the progress early?
Fueled by Ayahuasca (0-1) vs Car Ramrod (1-0)
The reigning league champ stumbled out of the blocks in Week 1, much like the reigning Super Bowl champs. Fueled By Ayahuasca took an early hit with the loss of Elijah MItchell and then had a poor performance from Mike Williams as well. Meanwhile, Car Ramrod grabbed their first win of the season despite starting an injured J.K. Dobbins who was a scratch before the game started. Instead they relied on Daniel Jones and Davante Adams to turn in big games. Car Ramrod is rolling into Week 2 on the victory train, but Fueled By Ayahuasca will hope to stop the momentum and instead start their own winning record.
Team Pup-N-Suds (1-0) vs The Dictatorship (1-0)
It's another matchup between two 1-0 teams. Team Pup-N-Suds got off to a hot start with fantastic running back play in Saquon Barkley and the stud of the week, Patrick Mahomes. Team Pup-N-Suds survived despite a poor performance from Joe Burrow, so if he returns to form, the sky is the limit for this squad. The Dictatorship also started off strong with a huge game from Justin Jefferson. If The Dictatorship can get a better showing from Aaron Rodgers in Week 2, this could be the matchup of the weekend. Only one gets to move on to 2-0. Who will it be?
Fowler's Heathens (0-1) vs Leknid Lunatics (0-1)
It's another matchup between two winless teams looking to get up to .500. Fowler's Heathens had poor showings from Matthew Stafford and Allen Robinson, plus started an injured Allen Lazard. All of these can easily be remedied by Fowler's Heathens ahead of this upcoming matchup. For Leknid Lunatics, there was nothing inherently wrong with their lineup, with the exception of some less than stellar play from half the roster. Baker Mayfield and Joe Mixon both played above expectations, and Leknid Lunatics will hope that the rest of the team starts living up to their billing in Week 2. Which team will finally get a win, and which team ends up staring at 0-2 after this week?
Enjoy Week 2!
