Week 3 Recap

100% That Commish

Well that was a rough week for some people. And we aren't just talking in this league. Fantasy football can be a fun game at times, but it's a crap shoot for when players will get hot, get injured, or just play poorly. Let's take a look at the week that was.

SMILF rolled to a 51.22 point victory to hand Captain Morgan their third straight loss to open the season. Captain Morgan pulled out to a 6.10-point lead on Thursday, but it was all SMILF after that. They were led by Jalen Hurts (41.6 points) and Mark Andrews (28.9 points). CeeDee Lamb (22.7 points) and Kyler Murray (18.36) were the leaders for Captain Morgan in defeat. SMILF (2-1) will look to sustain their momentum against Ginger Lightning, while Captain Morgan (0-3) try to generate some positive momentum against Car Ramrod.

Autodraft Bitches brought their A game, cruising to a 42.32 point victory over STL House Centipedes, who fell short of projections. STL House Centipedes earned an 11.70-point lead on Thursday, but it was all Autodraft Bitches after that. They were led by Lamar Jackson 53.42 points) and Jameis Winston (25.62 points). Trevor Lawrence (31.18 points) and Amari Cooper (28.1) led the charge for STL House Centipedes in the loss. Autodraft Bitches (1-2) will look to keep it rolling against Team Pup-N-Suds, while STL House Centipedes (1-2) meet Fowler's Heathens in an effort to get back on track.

Houston Dinkel rose to the occasion, rolling to a 42 point victory over Ginger Lightning, who fell short of projections. This matchup was decided almost as soon as it started, as Houston Dinkel jumped out to a 43.10-point lead on Thursday behind impressive performances from David Njoku (23.9 points) and Nick Chubb (22.3). Kirk Cousins (22.3 points) and Jaylen Waddle (21.1 points) led the charge for Ginger Lightning in the loss. Houston Dinkel (2-1) will look to notch another win against The Dictatorship, while Ginger Lightning (2-1) attempt to get back in the win column against SMILF.

There's no sugarcoating it, Fueled By Ayahuasca underdelivered, at least according to projections, as Leknid Lunatics rolled to a 37.6 point victory. The matchup was over before it really even started, as Leknid Lunatics leapt out to an 88.84-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind impressive showings from Derrick Henry and Mac Jones. Henry racked up 25.3 points, while Jones tallied another 24.94 points. Marcus Mariota (18.56 points) and Justin Herbert (17.58) led the way for Fueled By Ayahuasca in the loss. Leknid Lunatics (1-2) will look to build on their success against All 2 Whales, while Fueled By Ayahuasca (1-2) will face Dinkel 3.16 in an effort to get some positive momentum.

Fowler's Heathens failed to bring their A game, coming up short of projections, as Team Pup-N-Suds rolled to a 30.74 point victory. Team Pup-N-Suds pulled out to a 9.10-point lead on Thursday behind Kareem Hunt and never let it go. Matt Ryan (19.28 points) and Deebo Samuel (12.9) carried the flag for Fowler's Heathens in defeat. Team Pup-N-Suds (2-1) will look to add to their success against Autodraft Bitches, while Fowler's Heathens (1-2) will take on STL House Centipedes in an effort to develop some positive momentum.

Dinkel 3.16 won their third straight to open the season with a hard-fought win over All 2 Whales, securing a 7.4 point victory. Dinkel 3.16 never trailed in this one after grabbing a 6.84-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind Josh Allen (35.7 points) and Ryan Tannehill (22.76). Derek Carr (31.82 points) and A.J. Brown (19.5 points) did everything they could for All 2 Whales in the loss. Dinkel 3.16 (3-0) will look to sustain their winning ways against Fueled By Ayahuasca, while All 2 Whales (1-2) will try to get back in the win column against Leknid Lunatics.

The Dictatorship won their third game in a row to open the season with a tight win over Car Ramrod, narrowly earning a 4.32 points victory. Car Ramrod made a run at it on Monday night, but they came up short. The Dictatorship led 111.16-92.10 after Sunday's action and held on for the win despite 14.74 points from Daniel Jones on Monday night for Car Ramrod. The Dictatorship were led by DeVonta Smith (37.9 points) and Aaron Rodgers (22.1 points). The Dictatorship (3-0) will look to sustain their winning ways against Houston Dinkel, while Car Ramrod (1-2) take on Captain Morgan in an effort to get back on track.

Waiver Wire Adds

QB - Zach Wilson, Brian Hoyer

Zach Wilson was injured in the preseason but reports say that he could return to the starting position as early as Week 4, sending Joe Flacco back to the bench. With an ankle injury for Mac Jones, it's next man up in New England, and the veteran Brian Hoyer gets the nod to lead the offense for the next few weeks.

WR - Mack Hollins, Josh Reynolds, K.J. Osborn

Mack Hollins has led the Raiders in receiving yardage the past two weeks, including 8-10 for 158 yards and a touchdown in Week 3. Josh Reynolds led the Lions in targets and receiving yards in Week 3, and is tied for the team high in receptions across the first three weeks. K.J. Osborn was 5-8 with 73 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 and is the clear third option in Minnesota.

RB - Craig Reynolds, Justice Hill, Zack Moss

With D'Andre Swift looking to miss some time, expect Craig Reynolds to flirt with double digit touches in the Lions backfield where he will spell Jamaal Williams. Justice Hill is the clear RB2 in Baltimore behind J.K. Dobbins and led all running backs for the Ravens in Week 3. Zack Moss has the RB2 position for the high profile Bills locked down and is facing a Baltimore defense that is allowing 94 rushing yards per game.

TE - Will Dissly, Jelani Woods

Will Dissly posted a 3-3 with 34 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 and now has two touchdowns across three games already this season. Jelani Woods caught two touchdown passes in Week 3 and could be worth a stash on rosters still searching for an answer at tight end.

Week 4 includes a London game, so wake up early and watch some action from across the pond! Or at least make sure you've made lineup adjustments ahead of time.

Enjoy Week 4!
