Week 4 Recap

100% That Commish

The season is fully underway after four weeks and some teams have definitely started to make a name for themselves, while others are left looking for answers and hoping to just make some positive strides in their fantasy season. Some big matchups lived up to the hype. It was a great Week 4. Let's take a quick look back.

Fowler's Heathens came out on top with a 35.78 win to hand STL House Centipedes their third straight loss. Fowler's Heathens took a 35.12-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind impressive showings from Miles Sanders (34.6 points) and Matt Ryan (28.84 points) and never looked back. Travis Kelce (24.2 points) and Trevor Lawrence (11.66 points) did everything they could for STL House Centipedes in the loss. Fowler's Heathens (2-2) will look to maintain their winning ways against Houston Dinkel, while STL House Centipedes (1-3) take on The Dictatorship in an effort to get some positive momentum.

There's no easy way to say it, Autodraft Bitches didn't do their job, at least compared to projections, as Team Pup-N-Suds earned a 33.18 point win. Team Pup-N-Suds took a 29.08-point lead on Thursday behind an outstanding showing from Joe Burrow, who had 29.08 points. Autodraft Bitches bounced back to take the lead during the early slate on Sunday, powered by Jamaal Williams (32.9 points) and Lamar Jackson (17.06). Unphased, Team Pup-N-Suds made a run later that afternoon, as DJ Moore (12.1 points) and Darren Waller (5.4) put them back on top once and for all. Team Pup-N-Suds (3-1) will look to rack up another W against Ginger Lightning, while Autodraft Bitches (1-3) will face off against Dinkel 3.16 in an effort to get back in the win column.

Car Ramrod cruised to a 28.04 point win to hand Captain Morgan their fourth consecutive loss to open the season. Captain Morgan jumped out to a 26.26-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind impressive efforts from CeeDee Lamb (21.7 points), and Pat Freiermuth (15.5 points). But it was all Car Ramrod after that. They were led by Christian McCaffrey, who racked up 25.8 points, and Davante Adams (24.5 points). Car Ramrod (2-2) will look to maintain their momentum against All 2 Whales, while Captain Morgan (0-4) will face Leknid Lunatics in an effort to generate some positive momentum.

Despite similar records, All 2 Whales held a big season point advantage over Leknid Lunatics coming into this one (637-467), and they lived up to their reputation with an easy victory, cruising to a 27.84 point win. Leknid Lunatics earned a 13.10-point lead on Thursday, but it was all All 2 Whales after that. They were led by Josh Jacobs, who racked up 40.5 points, and Tom Brady, who scored 36.4 points. Derrick Henry (28.7 points) and DK Metcalf (27.9) were the leaders for Leknid Lunatics in the loss. All 2 Whales (2-2) will look to maintain their winning ways against Car Ramrod, while Leknid Lunatics (1-3) match up against Captain Morgan in an effort to get back in the win column.

Both teams were unable to bring their A game, coming up short of their projected point totals, but Ginger Lightning did enough to beat SMILF. Predicted to lose 145.85-144.51, Ginger Lightning earned a 12.44 point win over SMILF. SMILF earned a 12.80-point lead on Thursday, but Ginger Lightning held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Austin Ekeler, who scored 34.9 points, and Brandin Cooks (18.7 points). Jared Goff (42.22 points) and Chris Olave (16.7 points) were the top performers for SMILF in the loss. Ginger Lightning (3-1) will look to keep it rolling against Team Pup-N-Suds, while SMILF (2-2) will take on Fueled By Ayahuasca in an effort to develop some positive momentum.

Fueled By Ayahuasca earned a come-from-behind victory over Dinkel 3.16, coming back for a 10.16 point win. Fueled By Ayahuasca trailed 137.10-111.96 heading into Sunday night, but the squad charged back behind Mike Evans, who scored 35.3 points. Tyreek Hill (31.9 points) and Josh Allen (26.52 points) were the leaders for Dinkel 3.16 in the loss. Fueled By Ayahuasca (2-2) will look to maintain their winning ways against SMILF, while Dinkel 3.16 (3-1) take on Autodraft Bitches in an effort to generate some positive momentum.

Houston Dinkel extended their win streak to three games with a come-from-behind victory over The Dictatorship, coming back to earn a 2.26 point win. Houston Dinkel trailed 182.62-133.82 heading into Monday night, but the unit roared back behind Cooper Kupp (31.2 points) and Jimmy Garoppolo (19.86). T.J. Hockenson (45.9 points) and Justin Jefferson (37 points) were the leaders for The Dictatorship in defeat. Houston Dinkel (3-1) will look to keep it rolling against Fowler's Heathens, while The Dictatorship (3-1) try to get some positive momentum against STL House Centipedes.

On Blast!

If we didn't know better, we'd almost think there was some collusion going on in this game. Both managers left an injured player in their starting lineup. At least there was an even playing field? STL House Centipedes didn't catch the alarm before the London game and missed the Kamara news. Fowler's Heathens rolled out D.J. Chark who had been ruled out on Saturday afternoon.

Studs & Duds

Stud - TE T.J. Hockenson with 45.9 points for The Dictatorship

Dud - Detroit Lions Defense with -2 points for Fowler's Heathens

On an interesting note - both the stud and the dud came from the same NFL team this week.

Weekly Challenge - Houston Dinkel

This week's Weekly Challenge was Photo Finish and went to the team with the smallest margin of victory. The winner was Houston Dinkel, who won by 2.26 points. Next week's challenge is the Uncle Rico and goes to the best quarterback of the week. If this had been the challenge in Week 4, SMILF would have won with 42.22 points from Jared Goff.

Waiver Wire Adds

QB - Teddy Bridgewater, Bailey Zappe

Teddy Two-Gloves could see some time at quarterback in Miami after the injury to Tua. With some big weapons in that offense, Bridgewater could be a strong option for the time that Tua is out. Bailey Zappe came in for the injured Brian Hoyer and led the Patriots offense to overtime. With Mac Jones out and Hoyer potentially poised to miss some time as well, Zappe could be the answer for the Patriots in the short term.

WR - Michael Gallup, Richie James Jr, Joshua Reynolds

Michael Gallup came back from injury and immediately scored two touchdowns for the Cowboys. If Dak Prescott comes back, look for Gallup's usage to go up as well. Richie James has been the lead receiver in New York and with Sterling Shepard out for the season, James could be in for a bigger workload, depending on what happens with the quarterback situation. Joshua Reynolds is once again a strong option for the Lions, who has the best offense in the league, and with many other options still injured, Reynolds could be a great play again this week.

RB - Tyler Allgeier, Kenneth Walker III, Mike Boone

Tyler Allgeier had over 100 yards from scrimmage and could be the lead back in Atlanta with Cordarelle Patterson going to IR. Kenneth Walker could be a stash option if Penny gets injured in Seattle, but the rookie is also poised for a breakout eventually. With Javonte Williams tearing his ACL, and Melvin Gordon prone to fumbles, Mike Boone is worth an add this week as he'll look at increased workload in Denver.

TE - Hayden Hurst, Mo Alie-Cox

Hayden Hurst now has 14 catches for 104 yards and a touchdown through four weeks. Mo Alie-Cox led the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards in a game the Colts were forced to air it out with a stalled ground game.

It's another London game so set an alarm to at least wake up and check your lineup before the game starts. Or just enjoy some coffee and watch the full game!

Enjoy Week 5!
