Week 5 Recap

100% That Commish

Week 5 saw some big wins, with 6 of the 7 matchups being decided by thirty or more points. It was a bloodbath of a week that deserves to be recognized.

Leknid Lunatics secured a 62.8 point victory to hand Captain Morgan their fifth straight loss to open the season. Captain Morgan took a 12.7-point lead on Thursday, but Leknid Lunatics held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Tyler Lockett (36.4 points) and Derrick Henry (32.2). Leknid Lunatics (2-3) will look to keep it rolling against Dinkel 3.16, while Captain Morgan (0-5) try to get their first W against Fueled By Ayahuasca.

Team Pup-N-Suds extended their win streak to three games with an easy win over Ginger Lightning, rolling to a 48.82 point victory. Ginger Lightning nabbed a 9.84-point lead early Sunday afternoon, but it was all Team Pup-N-Suds after that. They were led by Patrick Mahomes (38.48 points) and Rhamondre Stevenson (25.5). Josh Jacobs (35.3 points) and Stefon Diggs (30.2 points) were the top scorers for All 2 Whales in the loss. Car Ramrod (3-2) will look to earn another W against SMILF, while All 2 Whales (2-3) attempt to get some positive momentum against STL House Centipedes.

Both teams failed to bring their A game, falling short of projections, but Fueled By Ayahuasca did enough to beat SMILF, securing a 30.2 point victory. On Blast!

Autodraft Bitches started TE Logan Thomas who was inactive on Sunday. A late scratch but still noted before noon kickoff. Gotta remember to check those lineups!

Studs & Duds

Stud - QB Josh Allen with 58.16 points for Dinkel 3.16

Dud - Miami Dolphins Defense with -2 points for Ginger Lightning

Weekly Challenge - Dinkel 3.16

This week's challenge was the Uncle Rico and went to the team with the best quarterback. That team was Dinkel 3.16, who saw Josh Allen go off for 58.16 points. Next week is the Clifford Franklin and goes to the team with the best wide receiver, regardless of roster position (wide receiver or flex spot). If that had been the challenge this week, Car Ramrod would have won with 40.40 points from Davante Adams. STL House Centipedes had Gabe Davis and his 45.10 points on the bench this week and wouldn't have been eligible to win the award.

Waiver Wire Adds

It's getting thin out there folks. Here's some possible help.

QB - PJ Walker

PJ Walker is the only quarterback left on the waiver wire this week by virtue of being the only healthy quarterback in Carolina right now. He had some moments of shine last season and with a new interim head coach and the bottom ranked offense in the league, he has nowhere to go but up.

WR - Alec Pierce, Marvin Jones Jr, Randall Cobb

Alec Pierce has started to develop a nice chemistry with Matt Ryan and is led the Colts in receptions, yards, and targets last week and has seen his target share go up each of the last three weeks to solidify his spot as the WR2 in Indianapolis. Marvin Jones Jr was 7-of-11 for 104 yards in Week 5 and saw a large amount of targets thanks to injuries in Jacksonville. Randall Cobb was 7-of13 for 99 yards in Week 5 and is a safety valve for the Packers offense with Christian Watson banged up.

RB - Joshua Kelley, Kenneth Walker III, Jericho McKinnon

Joshua Kelley has emerged as the clear RB2 for the Chargers, rushing 10 times for 49 yards and touchdown in Week 5 and outsnapping Sony Michel 10-1. Kenneth Walker rushed 8 times for 88 yards and touchdown in Week 5 and should see an increased workload with the loss of Rashaad Penny for the season. Jerick McKinnon led the Chiefs in rushing with 53 yards across 8 rushing attempts and added 2 catches for 19 yards.

TE - Cade Otton, Daniel Bellinger

Cade Otton was 6-for-7 for 43 yards in Week 5, taking advantage of Cameron Brate's absence to prove his worth in Tampa Bay. Daniel Bellinger found the end zone on a rushing touchdown in Week 5 and has been averaging 8 points a game the past four weeks. In a season where tight ends are hard to come by, both of these rookies may be worth a second look.

Week 6 brings us the first bye week of the season. These four teams are on bye, so plan accordingly.

Enjoy Week 6! You can sleep in on Sunday.
