Captain Morgan (1-6) vs STL House Centipedes (3-4)
This Week 8 matchup pits two teams needing another win under their belt. Captain Morgan continues to struggle to wrack up wins. With a running back room that includes Nyheim Hines, Devin Singletary, and Mark Ingram, Captain Morgan is only averaging 6.88 points from the running backs each week. That may not be enough to take on STL House Centipedes, who are ranked slightly higher in the standings this week. This running back corps is a little more loaded, with Alvin Kamara, Ezekiel Elliott, and Jeff Wilson Jr. For STL House Centipedes, that equates to an average of 11.05 points each week. It's a tougher matchup than it looks on paper, but both of these teams can pull out a win. Can Captain Morgan grab that elusive second win, or can STL House Centipedes keep them at bay?
Car Ramrod (4-3) vs Fowler's Heathens (4-3)
It's a matchup between two teams with some pretty decent running backs this week. Coming into Week 8, Car Ramrod is taking a gamble that his two stud running backs, Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey can help lead him to victory. Before they lost Breece Hall for the year, Car Ramrod was getting an average of 16.12 points per game from this running back room. Not to be outdone in the running back department, Fowler's Heathens has a couple of good rushers as well. Averaging 13.19 points per game, Fowler's Heathens is relying on Jonathan Taylor, Miles Sanders, and Michael Carter to get it done for them week in and week out. Which team is going to eke out another victory? Can Fowler's Heathens get another win this week, or will their momentum be stalled by Car Ramrod?
All 2 Whales (2-5) vs Autodraft Bitches (1-6)
Week 8 showcases yet another not so primetime matchup, this time between two struggling teams. All 2 Whales had such high hopes at one time, but now find themselves looking up from the bottom. With Clyde Edwards-Helaire on bye, this team will rely on Eno Benjamin and Kenneth Gainwell to lead the running game. All 2 Whales only averages 9.67 points per game, but losing CEH could be a big hit to that average. For Autodraft Bitches, the running back group is a little stronger with the return of Dalvin Cook from bye. Add in Jamaal Williams and the occasional splash of AJ Dillon and this group averages 10.99 points per game. Autodraft Bitches will rely on this group to help them grab another win and crawl out of the dumpster. Can All 2 Whales surprise us all and pull a win out of his ragtag group of backs? Or will Autodraft Bitches pick up win #2?
Leknid Lunatics (2-5) vs Team Pup-N-Suds (6-1)
Talk about two teams with talented running backs. This Week 8 matchup might have the best group of backs across both teams in any faceoff. Leknid Lunatics comes charging in this week with a strong group that includes Joe Mixon, Derrick Henry, and James Conner. Leknid Lunatics is pulling an average of 15.22 points per game with that trio. Not to be outdone, Team Pup-N-Suds has both quality and quantity. It's a big running back corps for Team Pup-N-Suds, but a room that boasts Saquon Barkley, Raheem Mostert, and Rhomandre Stevenson is putting up an average of 12.15 points each week. It's a running back challenge and both of these teams seem ready to win the week. Can Leknid Lunatics pull off the upset and dethrone the top spot? Or can Team Pup-N-Suds hang on to the lead they just captured?
Dinkel 3.16 (5-2) vs Ginger Lightning (4-3)
Both of these teams need to bounce back in Week 8, but only one will get to. Dinkel 3.16 fell from grace last week, but it wasn't much of a fall. This team has been thriving with the surging of Travis Etienne Jr, and will likely get D'Andre Swift back from injury. Add in Brian Robinson Jr and this group is averaging 11.65 points for Dinkel 3.16. For Ginger Lightning, this group is another large one, but a bit hard to figure out at times. Najee Harris and Austin Ekeler are solid pieces, but Ekeler is on a bye. Ginger Lightning will need James Robinson to acclimate to New York quickly to feel comfortable with a three headed running back committee that averages 12.71 points per game. Will Dinkel 3.16 open up a can once again, or will Ginger Lightning strike and start a climb back towards the top?
Fueled By Ayahuasca (4-3) vs Houston Dinkel (5-2)
Both of these teams are coming off wins as they square off in Week 8. Fueled By Ayahuasca seems to have finally settled into a running back room that works for them. With Aaron Jones, Kenneth Walker, and Tony Pollard leading the way, Fueled By Ayahuasca is getting an average of 10.39 points per game at the running back position. But Houston Dinkel is averaging an impressive 14.02 points per game at the running back position. Nick Chubb and Dameon Pierce are a tough duo for anyone, but Houston Dinkel has been riding both of these players to win after win this season. Can Fueled By Ayahuasca keep chugging along, or will Houston DInkel show why you don't mess with Texas once again?
SMILF (4-3) vs The Dictatorship (4-3)
This Week 8 matchup features two more teams coming off a victory. SMILF battled back in Week 7 for a come from behind victory, thanks in large part to their running backs. SMILF turned to Khalil Herbert and Damien Harris once again, and those two, plus Chase Edmonds, have helped average 9.11 points at the position each week. Meanwhile, The Dictatorship is averaging close to the same, with a 10.55 point average each week. For The Dictatorship, it's the Antonio Gibson and David Montgomery show each week, with a small mix of Rex Burkhead as well. Both of these teams have seem success this season. Which team can see it again? Can SMILF grab their third win in a row, or will The Dictatorship rule the day once again?
